1/4 cup butter melted in 9x13 pan
2 apples, chopped into same butter in pan
1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 cup brown sugar sprinkled on apples
Bake this 10 to 15 minutes to precook apples a bit.
Mix batter of following:
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
Pour over warm apples and bake half an hour @ 350F. Serve with syrup of your choice. Maple is particularly good.

Wow! I'm almost to drool! This sounds good! Too bad I simply don't make breakfast!
Take note! I labeled it for Sunday faspa, lunch or whatever you call the evening meal on the Sabbath! I especially like it on free Sunday evenings. You have those? Hey! Or Saturday brunch, lunch or supper! I mean you really HAVE to try it! I'm just helping you figure out ways to get it into your daily dietary regimen!
This DOES sound good... for midmorning snack maybe! :)
Ya except it's more filling than my idea of snacking!
I'll be making this shortly since I make breakfast almost every single day here in the mission. I'm always eager to try new recipes! Thanks! My family will love it...;)
This is truly delicious. I asked Twyla for the recipe after we had this for brunch at their place, but never found it after coming home from our AB trip. Was happy to find it among your recipes, and tonight i made it as a quick supper before going to manor devotions! Leah, 5, said she liked this better than Dutch Babies. Kendall, 3, agreed wholeheartedly, and Merv said he approved! My family loves any sort of breakfast meal.
